Brake problems on heavy trucks and trailers are rarely just worn linings. Mondak repairs air brake systems end to end: foundation brakes (shoes, drums, rotors, slack adjusters, cams and bushings), brake chambers and spring brakes, relay and quick-release valves, air lines and fittings, and trailer brakes. Diagnose first. Repair with purpose.
A brake that won't stay adjusted usually has a reason — worn cam bushings, a bad slack adjuster or a chamber problem. We measure stroke, check lining and drum condition, and leak-test the air side, so the repair addresses the cause instead of just re-adjusting.
Air leaks, chambers and some valve replacements can be done in the field. Foundation brake work, drums and cam bushings are done at the shop.
