Can you find an intermittent electrical problem?

Often, yes. Intermittent faults are the hardest kind, and details about when it happens — cold, hot, raining, after hitting bumps — help us recreate the condition and catch it while it's acting up.

Why do several warning lights come on at once?

Usually a shared power feed, ground or data-link problem rather than several parts failing at once. We check the common points first before condemning individual components.

Electrical problems are where guessing gets expensive. Mondak diagnoses truck and equipment electrical systems with a meter and a wiring diagram: battery condition, charging output, starter circuits, voltage drop across cables and grounds, wiring harness faults, sensor signals, module power and grounds, CAN data-link communication and lighting. Intermittent faults — the ones that disappear when the unit reaches the shop — get tested under the conditions that cause them, like heat, vibration or moisture.
