NDT & Structural Inspections
Cranes, aerial devices and heavy equipment carry high loads through welds, pins, pivots and boom sections. Fatigue cracks often start small and out of sight. NDT (nondestructive testing) and structural inspections look for cracking, deformation, corrosion and wear without damaging the part. Mondak supports NDT and major structural inspections by preparing the equipment, inspecting critical areas, documenting findings and planning repairs. This is often requested after an overload, impact or when a crack is spotted during daily use. We don't set intervals for you; confirm them with the manufacturer or your requirements.

Structural concerns need documentation before repair. We identify and record the condition, then discuss whether a weld repair, part replacement or manufacturer guidance is appropriate. Not every crack is safe to simply weld.
Initial inspection may be possible on site. Cleaning, detailed inspection and structural repair are usually best done at the Glendive shop.
