DPF Cleaning & Repair
A diesel particulate filter collects two things: soot, which regeneration burns off, and ash, which it can't. When a DPF plugs early, the filter is usually a symptom of something upstream — a leaking injector, an EGR problem, a turbo issue, too much idle time or a regen that keeps getting interrupted. Mondak diagnoses DPF restriction, failed regenerations, differential pressure faults and temperature sensor problems before recommending cleaning or replacement. Cleaning a filter without fixing the reason it loaded up often means seeing the truck back again soon.

THE MONDAK APPROACH
Diagnose first. Repair with purpose.
We separate soot problems from ash problems. Heavy soot usually traces back to the engine — fueling, air, EGR or turbo — and has to be fixed first. Ash builds up over time and is handled by cleaning. We also verify the differential pressure sensor and its lines, because a bad reading can make a clean filter look plugged.
Codes and soot load can be checked in the field. DPF removal, cleaning and related engine repairs are done at the Glendive shop.
